Every blog needs an archive to help visitors navigate through site’s content. Old posts are made more accessible to the visitor and this can lead to more page-views of a blog/website. The WordPress archive plugin I am going to tell you about will ensure that you don’t have to waste a lot of time on getting the archive right.
The plugin is called Better Extended Live Archives (ELA) and it can be downloaded here. To get rid of the default WordPress archive page, you only need to install and activate this plugin. You can show posts in the archive according their categories, publishing date or the post tags. Unlike most of the archive plugins for wordpress this archive is not only visually appealing but it is extremely easy to use aswell. We have sifted through many WordPress archive plugins so you can safely trust my opinion.
ELA gives the user a lot of options. If it is the ‘Loading…’ text that is bugging you, you can simply remove it from the plugin’s settings. The maximum length of titles that appears in the archives can be altered and if you don’t want a particular post category to appear on the archive page, that is also possible. Remember that this is only a glimpse of what is possible with ELA.

If you want a live demo of ELA, simply click on the Archive navigation menu under ‘Tech Daba’.
If you know about any other WordPress archive plugin or if you have used ELA, please share your experience by commenting below.
